Abstract

This study aims to analyze the behavior of reinforced concrete beam–column joints under cyclic loading using numerical analysis based on ANSYS. The models consist of variations in stirrup spacing of 50 mm, 75 mm, and 100 mm, with observed parameters including lateral load capacity, deformation, and failure patterns. The results indicate that stirrup spacing significantly affects joint performance, where the 50 mm spacing model shows the highest load capacity and deformation capability due to better confinement. Larger stirrup spacing leads to reduced structural performance. Therefore, closer stirrup spacing in joint regions improves ductility and structural resistance under cyclic loading
