Abstract

South Sumatra Province has extensive agricultural and plantation land with many rivers. To meet their needs, they plan to develop small to large scale irrigation areas spread across various cities and districts. This research analyzes water needs, water availability, and water balance in the irrigation area of Prambatan Village, Abab District, PALI Regency. The methods used are the KP-01 irrigation concept manual to calculate irrigation water requirements and the F.J Mock Method to calculate water availability. These two values are used to calculate the balance of water between demand and availability. The planting pattern applied in the irrigation system in Prbatas Village applies a paddy planting pattern with a rice field area of 22.3 Ha. Based on the irrigation water balance during the first planting period, the average water availability was 0.008 m³/sec and the average water requirement was 0.011 m³/sec.During the second planting period, the average water availability was 0.010 m³/sec and the average water requirement was 0.021 m³/sec. During planting periods I and II, water needs were not met based on the balance of irrigation water.
