Abstract

Road density that is not balanced with driving knowledge can cause accidents. But road accidents are not only caused by drivers' lack of driving knowledge, they are also caused by poor road conditions. Road damage that occurs will certainly affect the safety and comfort of road users. Therefore, the handling of pavement construction, whether in the form of maintenance, improvement or rehabilitation, can be carried out optimally if the factors causing damage to the road section are known. This research was conducted on the Simpang Sari road section in Ulak Paceh Village, Lawang Wetan District, Musi Banyuasin Regency. The purpose of this research is to determine the factors causing road damage on the Betung - Sekayu road section. The aim of the research is to determine the number of LHRs on the Simpang Sari road section in Ulak Paceh Village, Lawang Wetan District, Musi Banyuasin Regency, analyze the causes of road damage and analyze the types of damage and find out the percentage of road damage on the Simpang Sari road section in Ulak Paceh Village, Lawang District. Wetan, Musi Banyuasin Regency. Based on observations and research analysis results on the Simpang Sari road section in Ulak Paceh Village, Lawang Wetan District, Musi Banyuasin Regency, the highest LHR level was on Monday, namely 3,904 vehicles, the dominant type of damage was Longitudinal Cracks with a total of 426.27 m2 with a percentage value 1.18 %. caused by vehicles with loads that exceed the maximum road limits, there is no drainage along the road which causes rainwater to pool and affect the road pavement.
