Abstract

Efforts to increase agricultural productivity, the need for water has an important role. Many efforts have been made to achieve this, including by utilizing surface water sources such as rivers and weirs, as well as water sources from rainfall. In addition to water, plants also need a place to grow (soil or rice fields). Rice fields and land that is good for agriculture is land that is easy to cultivate, productive, fertile and requires sufficient water. The objectives to be achieved in this study are to measure the water discharge in the tertiary channel, the water requirement for each irrigation area and calculate the efficiency of the irrigation network in Marga Cinta Village, Belitang Madang Raya District, East OKU Regency. Based on this research, the discharge in tertiary irrigation canals BMC 1 BMc 1 kn, BMC 2, BMc 2 Kn, BMc 3 Kn, BMC 4, BMc 4 Kn, BMc 4 Kr, BMc 4 Tg is sufficient for water needs in the irrigation area in Marga Cinta Village. In the BMc 3 channel, it is not efficient according to the KP-03 efficiency standard book. In the BMC 4 Kr channel the existing discharge is too excessive to meet the water needs of the rice plant, then the floodgates in the BMC 4 Tr tertiary channel need to be controlled.
