Abstract

ABSTRAK PENGARUH WAKTU KONTAK DAN MASSA ADSORBEN DARI KULIT SINGKONG PADA PROSES ADSORPSI SURFAKTAN LIMBAH CAIR LAUNDRY Oleh : Bayu Pamungkas Ma’rifattullah Limbah laundry sangatlah berbahaya bagi kelangsungan hidup manusia terutama pada sistem perairan masyarakan yang di timbulkan akibat adanya kandugan surfaktan pada limbah laundry. Salah satu alternatif pengolahan limbah laundry yang di lakukan adalah dengan metode adsorpsi menggunakan karbon aktif dari kulit singkong. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji laju penurunan daya serap surfaktan menggunakan karbon aktif dari campuran kulit singkong dengan menggunakan limbah jenis detergen bubuk, massa adsorben (3 gr, 5 gr, dan 7 gr) dan waktu (5Menit, 10 Menit, 15 Menit, 20 Menit, 25 Menit). Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa daya serap karbon aktif terhadap limbah laundry Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Analisa daya serap surfaktan dari 15 sampel adsorbsi semua sampel memenuhistandar SNI 06-3730-1995 Max 0,3. Dan hasil terbaik di dapat pada sampel 3 gr 5 menit dengan bilangan ABS 0,018 dan efisiensi penurunan surfaktan sebesar 41,4 %. Jika di bandingkan dengan penelitian yang di lakukan oleh Ali Amar Ma’ruf, 2017) Menggunakan karbon aktif dari ampas teh terhadap limbah laundry untuk menurunkan kadar sufaktan pada proses adsorbsi. Pada penelitian ini di dapatkan penurunan surfaktan pada limbah laundry jenis bubuk didapat sebesar 0,633 mg/l. Kata Kunci : Adsorpsi, Kulit Singkong, Surfaktan ABSTRACT EFFECT OF CONTACT TIME AND ADSORBENT MASS OF CASSAVA SKIN ON SURFACTANT ADSORPTION PROCESS OF LIQUID LAUNDRY WASTE By : Bayu Pamungkas Ma’rifattullah Laundry waste is very dangerous for human survival, especially in systems, community waters which are generated due to the presence of surfactant content in laundry waste. One of the alternatives for laundry waste treatment that is carried out is the adsorption method using activated carbon from cassava peels. This study aims to examine the rate of decrease in surfactant absorption using activated carbon from cassava peels using powder detergent type waste, adsorbent mass (3 gr, 5 gr, and 7 gr) and time (5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 20 minutes, 25 minutes). The results of this study indicate that the absorption capacity of activated carbon on laundry waste. The results showed that the analysis of the absorption of surfactants from 15 adsorption samples of all samples complied with the SNI 06-3730-1995 Max 0.3 standard. And the best results were obtained on a sample of 3 gr 5 minutes with an ABS number of 0.018 and a surfactant reduction efficiency of 41,4%. When compared with research conducted by Ali Amar Ma'ruf, 2017) Using activated carbon from tea waste on laundry waste to reduce surfactant levels in the adsorption process.
