Abstract

KINERJA ADSORPSI KARBON AKTIF DARI LIMBAH KULIT SINGKONG DAN LIMBAH KARBIT TERHADAP LIMBAH KAIN JUMPUTAN (Dimas Wibowo, 2023, 59 Halaman, 19 Tabel, 26 Gambar, 2 Lampiran) Provinsi Sumatera Selatan, Sang Bumi Sriwijaya dengan ibu kotanya Palembang merupakan kota yang memiliki berbagai macam industry kerajinan tradisional, Maka dibutuhkan cara untuk dapat mengurangi pencemaran pada limbah cair kain jumputan menggunakan adsorben limbah kulit singkong dan limbah karbit. Pada penelitan ini dibuat adsorben dari kulit singkong dengan menggunakan aktivasi NaOH 0,1 M dan limbah karbit. Karbon aktif yang telah dihasilkan digunakan untuk menangani limbah cair kain jumputan. Dari hasil analisa yang dilakukan didapatkan hasil kadar air, kadar abu, kadar zat mudah terbang dan kadar karbon murni dari variasi adsorben kadar air 1,7 – 2,2%. Untuk kadar abu 4 – 8%. Kadar Zat Mudah Terbang sebesar 11 – 31% dan Kadar Karbon aktif murni dari sebesar 97 – 99%. Konsentrasi Fe sebesar 0,27 mg/L. Untuk nilai pH nya 11.23. Untuk konsentrasi COD sebesar 2518 mg/L dan untuk nilai warnanya sebesar 3256. Kesimpulan yang didapat dari karbon aktif limbah kulit singkong dan limbah karbit dapat mengurangi kadar pencemaran limbah cair kain jumputan. Kata Kunci : Kulit Singkong, Limbah Karbit, Karbon Aktif, dan Limbah Cair Kain Jumputan South Sumatra Province, Sang Bumi Sriwijaya with its capital city Palembang is a city that has various kinds of traditional handicraft industries. So a way is needed to reduce pollution in jumputan cloth wastewater using adsorbents of cassava peel waste and carbide waste. In this research, adsorbents were made from cassava peels using 0.1 M NaOH activation and carbide waste. The activated carbon that has been produced is used to handle jumputan liquid waste. From the results of the analysis carried out, the results of the moisture content, ash content, volatile matter content and pure carbon content of the adsorbent variations in moisture content were 1.7 - 2.2%. For ash content 4 – 8%. Airborne Substance levels of 11 – 31% and pure activated carbon content of 97 – 99%. Fe concentration of 0.27 mg/L. For its pH value of 11.23. For a COD concentration of 2518 mg/L and a color value of 3256. The conclusion obtained from the activated carbon of cassava peel waste and carbide waste can reduce the level of pollution of jumputan cloth wastewater.
