Abstract

A building must at least be able to carry the loads acting on the structure. Lateral loads such as earthquake loads which can cause lateral deflection and gravity loads include dead loads and live loads. The taller the building, the greater the load that occurs. This study aims to analyze the installation of shear wall variations in the six-storey building model made with three models. M1 is a model without using Shear Walls, M2 is a modeling variation of the "L" Shear Wall shape, and M3 is a modeling variation of the "U" Shear Wall shape. The stages in the analysis and modeling include a Literature Study followed by the collection of existing building data, then continued with M1, M2, and M3 Modeling using SAP 2000 V.14 according to the reference SNI 1726: 2019 and SNI 1727: 2020. Then Dynamic Control is carried out , which can then be concluded which variation of form is more effective. Based on the results of the table of deviations between floors without shear walls, variations in the "L" shape, and variations in the form "U in the X and Y directions, the smallest deviation values are obtained, namely in the variation in the shape of the "U" shear wall with a value of 13.08 mm, the variation in the "L" shape with a value of 22.68 mm, and without shear walls with a value of 29.77 mm. This is because the stiffness of the frame structure with the "U" shear wall variation is greater than that of the "L" shape variation and without shear wall.
