Abstract

The intersection of three where this research is located is the intersection that connects Dr. M. Isa – Jalan Letda Abdul Rozak Palembang city, the condition of the intersection supports the occurrence of traffic jams. The three intersections where this research is located are the intersections that connect Dr. M. Isa - Letda Abdul Rozak Street, Palembang City, the condition of the intersection supports the occurrence of traffic jams. M. Isa – Jalan Letda Abdul Rozak Palembang city. ​An intersection is a meeting or branching of the road, both on the same level and not on the same level. The intersection is a place that is prone to accidents due to conflicts between the movement of vehicles and the movement of other vehicles. To find out the performance of intersections and traffic volumes, namely by measuring in the field and calculating with the provisions of MKJI 1997 (Indonesian road capacity manual). MKJI 1997 method is a suitable method in Indonesia to get intersection performance and traffic volume. ​The Tanah Tinggi Intersection experiences peak traffic flow on Monday at 16.30 – 17.00 with a volume of 2068 smp/hour, Total Traffic Flow Volume (Qtot) at peak hours is 2068 smp/hour or less than the actual intersection capacity of 2360.7 smp / hour, the degree of saturation (DS) is 0.868 which is according to the 1997 MKJI guidebook, it is necessary to repair the intersection. Based on the intersection delay value of 15.59, the service level of the Tanah Tinggi intersection enters C service level.
