Abstract

ABSTRACT STUDY OF FLOW POTENTIAL FOR DEVELOPMENT OF MICRO-HYDRO POWER PLANT (MHPP) IN SEGAMIT VILLAGE Study Program Electrical, Faculty of Engineering, Muhammadiyah Palembang University E-mail : mfirdausashidiqi28@gmail.com Segamit Village has water resources that can be used as a micro hydro power plant (MHPP). Availability of carrier channel weir and settling basin is the main factor in conducting this research. The purpose of this study is to analyze how the potential flow for the development of MHPP in Segamit village is. The research method was carried out through 3 (three) stages, namely; (1) literature study, (2) data collection, (3) calculation and analysis, testing and application on the Segamit MHPP. The results showed that the efficiency of the crossflow turbine was 75% and the synchronous generator was 75% with an installed generator power capacity of 10 kW. The water discharge value is 0.206 m^3/s and the height is 12 meters. Furthermore, the power available in water is 24.2 kW, turbine power is 18.1 kW, generator power is 13.6 kW.
