Abstract

Planning a building structure is one of the most important stages, namely the selection of the type of material to be used. The selection of placement is also needed to produce a structure that is stable, strong, durable, and economical. Steel structure is a material that is widely used in industrial buildings. This study uses a single H Beam main frame with 5 different truss variations. Dead load based on specific gravity, live load and wind are calculated based on loading regulations. While the calculation using the Staadpro program. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion that has been carried out from 5 variations, which variation 1 uses H350xH350x12x19, gording C200x90x8, wall beams H150x150x7x10, wind ties RD 5.5, variation 2 uses H350xH175x7x11, variation 3 uses H250xH250x7x1, variation 4 using H200xH204x12x12, variation 5 using H200xH100x5.5x8, so it can be concluded that variation 1 is a safe variation where the size of the truss is H350x350x12x19, curtains C200x90x8, wall beams H150x150x7x10 and wind ties RD 5.5. Variation 1 meets the stability requirements where the maximum horizontal displacement (<H/200) value is -5.797 cm < 4 cm and stress ratio < 1.0.
