Abstract

Palm fiber is a natural fiber that maybe only some people know that this fiber is very special compared to other fibers, black fiber produced from palm trees has many features that have sufficient tensile ability so that it is expected to reduce premature cracking and due to loads. This research was conducted in the laboratory of PT. Graha Tekindo Utama which was carried out under direct supervision from the PT which was carried out for 32 days. This study intends to determine the effect of the addition of palm fiber 2%, 2.5% 3%, 3.5% 4%. The total number of test objects used in the study were 30 samples. The maximum split tensile strength occurs in the normal variation of the mixture of normal concrete + 2% palm fiber powder, which is 2.72 Mpa at the age of 28 days and the minimum split tensile strength value occurs in normal concrete with 4% palm fiber powder, which is 1.88 Mpa at the age of 28 days. The maximum compressive strength of concrete occurs in the variation of normal concrete mixture, which is 16.26 MPa at the age of 28 days and the minimum compressive strength value occurs in normal concrete with 4% palm fiber powder, which is 12.64 MPa at the age of 28 days.
