Abstract

ABSTRACT Heavy rains that flushed most of the Sukarami area, Sekayu District - Lubuk Linggau, South Sumatra Province have caused a lot of scouring or landslides that occurred on roads or in residential areas. The Sukarami area, Kec. Sekayu – Lubuk Linggau, which is located in the province of South Sumatra, has a geographical condition consisting of hills with slopes on the Musi riverbank and a fairly high and deep ravine, slopes that are prone to landslides so that prevention is needed to reduce landslides that occur. often occurs at this vulnerable point. The purpose of this study is to find a solution to the problem of landslides that occur at the MUBA road location using the Plaxis V.8.2 program using the finite element method and the use of the Plaxis program as a way to analyze and find solutions for handling slope stability using three variations of gabion modeling. The results of the analysis of slope stability with gabion reinforcement with the plaxis program on the Sukarami road section, Kec. Sekayu – Lubuk Linggau is in the variation condition of 1 gabion with a height of 8 m and there are 8 layers, the safety factor is not obtained because at the time of calculation in the Plaxis program a failure occurred in the embankment phase and caused the collapse of the reinforcement of the gabion. In the condition of variation of 2 gabions with embankments on the side of the slope with a height of 6m and 6 layers, the safety factor value is 1.5495. embankment on the side of the slope helps prevent sliding of the gabion reinforcement. In the condition of variation of 3 gabions with reinforced pile D 60 with a depth of 6 m, the safety factor value is 1.5529.
