Abstract

The Palembang Aviation Polytechnic Dormitory Building is a building that functions as a dormitory for students studying there, therefore in this area there are four dormitory buildings, namely Alpha, Bravo, Delta and Echo dormitories. One of the main utilities of a building is the provision of clean water, including the dormitory building at the Palembang Aviation Polytechnic. Clean water is the most basic need for residents that is used daily in activities such as bathing, washing, kitchen needs, latrines, ablution and building cleanliness. In order for water needs to be met, an adequate clean water supply system is needed, for example the capacity of the Ground Water Tank and upper reservoir that is able to accommodate the daily needs of residents. Based on the results of the analysis, it is found that the daily need for clean water for Alpha Dormitory Building is 15,620 liters/day, Bravo Dormitory Building 6,939 liters/day, Delta Dormitory Building 3,722 liters/day Echo Dormitory Building 14,500 liters/day. From this figure, the effective storage capacity for Alpha Dormitory is 29,000 liters, Bravo Dormitory 13,180 liters, Delta Dormitory 6,710 liters, Echo Dormitory 24,060 liters. From this it can be seen that the need for clean water is still not balanced with the existing water supply system. Therefore, the number of Ground Water Tanks and Upper Reservoirs should be added sufficiently according to existing needs
