Abstract

In general, road damage can be caused by the design age of the road that has been passed, puddles of water on the road surface that cannot flow due to poor drainage, excessive traffic load (overloaded) which causes the road life to be shorter than planned. The method used for this research is the bina marga method, based on the priority value of the Directorate General of Highways and the Routine Maintenance Manual for National Roads and Provincial Roads. The study was conducted by looking for primary data by measuring the extent of each damage using a ruler. The research was conducted by looking for primary data and secondary data obtained from the relevant agencies. Based on observations and direct observation results at the research location on Jalan Karya Baru, Palembang City, the highest LHR rate was obtained on Saturday, May 14, 2022 as many as 2787 vehicles that passed this day were taken from 08:00 - 17:00 WIB. The most common type of damage or the highest percentage is the type of crocodile skin crack damage as much as 2283.2 m2 (12.97%).
