Abstract

Roads are transportation infrastructure that plays an important role in flowing traffic flow. When there is a section of the road that is damaged, it will have a considerable impact on traffic flow. Road damage can be analyzed to find out the cause of its occurrence and alternative solutions. This study aims to find out the types of road damage so that it can determine how to repair it and handle. the method used in this study is the Bina Marga method. based on the priority values of the Directorate General of Wildlife Development and routine maintenance manuals for national roads and provincial roads. The study was carried out by searching for primary data by measuring the extent of each damage using the crossbar . Secondary data was obtained from the Public Works, Spatial Planning and Public Housing Office of Palembang City for Bina Marga. Based on the results of the evaluation of the research on the condition of the road pavement Colonel Sulaiman Amin (Sta.00 + 000 - Sta.03 + 350) many damages were found that varied greatly in each Sta, caused by vehicle loads that exceeded the maximum road limit, the percentage of damage reached 59.88%, the solution to this problem must be immediately handled so that it does not expand to be larger, besides that there is a need to add a layer of pavement surface so that the maximum load carried by the road can also be add.
