Abstract

Self Compacting Concrete (SCC) is an innovative self-coMpacting concrete (without a vibrator), and is able to flow under its own weight to saturate the formwork without segregating. The material from SCC is not much different from normal concrete, namely coarse aggregate, fine aggregate, cement, water, only in SCC there is an admixture added in the form of a superplasticizer. This research was conducted to determine the effect of the addition of 3115-N Superplasticizer (Sika Viscocrete) on the compressive strength of concrete. The test object used is a cube of 15x15x15cm. The compressive strength test of concrete was carried out at the age of 28 days. This research was conducted for normal concrete, + Superplasticizer (Sika Viscocrete) 3.5%, 4% 4.5%, 5% with 45 specimens for each variation of the mixture, the highest compressive strength value of concrete is found in the normal + Superplasticizer (Sika Viscocrete) 4% concrete mixture with a value of compressive strength of 477.06 Kg/cm2 or 46.77 at the age of 28 days.
