Abstract

THE EFFECT OF ADDING FLY ASH AND SUPERPLASTICIZER POLYCARBOXYLATE ON THE COMPRESSION STRENGTH OF CONCRETE ON THE QUALITY OF CONCRETE K-450 By : Dicky Setiawan Email : dickysetiawanf20@gmail.com ABSTRACT Concrete is a material that is commonly used in the construction world. In Indonesia, concrete is the preferred construction material when compared to other materials such as steel and wood. This makes innovations in concrete continue to develop to improve the quality and quality of concrete. High strength concrete usually uses added materials to increase workability, increase compressive strength, and durability of concrete such as Fly Ash (fly ash) and Superplasticizer Polycarboxylate. This research was conducted to determine the effect of adding Fly Ash + Superplasticizer Polycarboxylate to the compressive strength of K-450 concrete. The test object used is a cube of 15 x 15 x 15 cm. The compressive strength test of concrete was carried out at the age of 3 days, 7 days, 14 days, and 28 days. This research was conducted for Normal Concrete, and Fly Ash 20% + Superplasticizer Polycarboxyalate 2.5%, 2.75%, 3.0%, 3.25%, 3.5%, 3.75 with 12 specimens for each variation of the mixture. The results showed that the compressive strength of normal concrete at the age of 28 days was 451.72 Kg/cm2 while the Optimum Compressive Strength Value of concrete at the age of 28 days occurred in the variation of the mixture of Fly Ash 20% + Superplasticizer Polycarboxylate 3.25% characteristic of 463.61 Kg/ cm². It is known that the addition of Fly Ash + Superplasticizer Polycarboxylate is quite influential on the compressive strength of concrete.
