Abstract

The intersection of the Sumatran Cross Road and the Alang-alang Lebar Bypass Road in Palembang is divided into 3 directions, namely the north leading to the Alang-alang Lebar Bypass road, the east leading to the Plg-Betung causeway and the west leading to the city of Palembang. The intersection of the Sumatran Cross Road and the Alang-alang Lebar Bypass Road in Palembang City has traffic lights but because it is old and not maintained the traffic lights are no longer functioning even though the intersection is a provincial road and has a high volume of traffic flow, especially during rush hour morning and evening. The intersection of the Sumatran Cross Road and the Alang-alang Lebar Bypass Road in the city of Palembang is a signalized intersection where conflicts often occur at the intersection which often cause congestion where the problem occurs because of the concrete barrier in the middle of the intersection which causes the approach to be narrow and can no longer accommodate the traffic flow. After analyzing the calculation of the degree of saturation at each intersection approach, the degree of saturation on the Alang-alang Lebar Bypass road approach and from the direction of the city of Palembang is 0.20 and 0.21, namely the level of service B with stable flow characteristics starting to be limited by traffic conditions. traffic and the driver has the freedom to choose the speed. And the degree of saturation in the Plg-Betung Cross Road approach is 0.36, namely the level of service E which is characterized by lower flow, unstable current capacity and vehicle speed that often stops.
