Abstract

The rapid development of science in the field of construction has made a concrete with additives or substitutes for cement derived from waste such as clam shells, the shells used are blood clam shells and Fly Ash. This study intends to determine the effect of adding Blood Shell Ash and Fly Ash to the compressive strength of K-300 concrete. The mold used to make a cube-shaped test object with an inner size (150 x 150 x 150) mm, with 45 samples. After the addition of Blood Shell Ash and Fly Ash, the compressive strength of the concrete was tested. The quality of the characteristic concrete in Fly Ash 5% obtained a concrete compressive strength value of 155.04 kg/Cm2 at the age of 3 days, at the age of 14 days at 279.84 kg/cm2, at the age of 28 days at 308.63 kg/cm2. With the addition of 1% Blood Shell Ash and 5% Fly Ash, the compressive strength of concrete was 133.14 kg/cm2 at the age of 3 days, at the age of 14 days it was 256.18 kg/cm2, at the age of 28 days it was 284.88 kg/cm2. With the addition of 2% Blood Shell Ash and 5% Fly Ash, the concrete compressive strength value was 126.18 kg/cm2 at the age of 3 days, at the age of 14 days it was 243.54 kg/cm2, at the age of 28 days it was 271.28 kg/cm2. With the addition of 3% Blood Shell Ash and 5% Fly Ash, the concrete compressive strength value was 119.60 kg/cm2 at the age of 3 days, at the age of 14 days it was 223.03 kg/cm2, at the age of 28 days it was 257.74 kg/cm².
