Abstract

Provision of infrastructure and facilities for pedestrians is needed to minimize conflicts between pedestrians and vehicles, minimize traffic delays, and provide a sense of security, comfort, and safety for pedestrians on Jalan Merdeka and Jalan Sudirman, which are one of the primary arterial roads in the city. Palembang, where the road is a corridor and transit mode for office, educational, trade, social and other activities. The data collected is data related to primary data collection problems. Methods used to collect primary data include conducting direct surveys to the research location in order to determine the flow of pedestrians and vehicle flows at the research location. From the results of the analysis that has been carried out, it is found that the value of pedestrian flow, the value of vehicle traffic flow, and the value of the average flow of pedestrians and vehicles at 4 rush hours are recommended at the research location on Jalan Merdeka, pedestrian bridge facilities and on Jalan Sudirman, recommended facilities zebra cross.
