Abstract

To meet the need for clean water, especially in the Plaju area, there are still many people who rely on PDAM Booster Plaju to meet their needs and obtain an adequate supply of clean water. In this study, the authors analyze the energy loss factor in the clean water pipe distribution network from PDAM Booster Plaju to Talang Putri, the factors that affect energy loss in the pipe distribution network include flow rate, flow velocity, pipe bend angle, friction in the pipe, changes in cross section on the pipe and branches on the pipe. The results of the calculations show that the largest total energy loss is in the K to K1 section of 6.40052 meters, the 8-inch pipe with a speed of 2.40177 m meter/second and the smallest total energy loss is in the V1 to V2 section of 0 .00099 meters3/s, 6 inch pipe with a flow rate of 0.00102 meters . So it can be concluded that not only the number of turns, changes in cross section, pipe branches, and pipe length that affect the energy loss factor, flow velocity is also a factor in energy loss.
