Abstract

Electricity is a basic necessity for the community, not only for lighting but also for supporting daily activities, but for some people, especially those who live in areas that have not received electricity supply from the government. One alternative to this solution is the development of a Solar Power Plant (PLTS). This independent PLTS is expected to be able to meet the lack of energy supply, especially in remote areas or areas. The energy produced by the sun will later be used as the main energy source to drive the water pump. Nowadays, the need for clean water has increased greatly considering the increasing number of human populations in the world, therefore various kinds of problems arise. One of them is the problem that it is difficult to get clean water. So that people have no more difficulty getting clean water and saving electrical energy, it is necessary to use an AC water pump supplied by PLTS, researchers use 100 WP solar panels as the main energy source to supply energy to the AC pump in order to produce the clean water they want. From this research, the resulting voltage and current values on the solar panel, the highest currents and voltages are produced during the day at around 10.00-12.00 WIB. The test is carried out in a half day cloudy weather and half a day is hot. The benefit obtained from this test is to be able to produce water clean without having to wait at night and can reduce usage at main sources such as PLN.
