Abstract

Concrete is one of the construction materials for civil works which is very important in construction such as houses, buildings, roads, bridges, dams, ports and others. One way to increase the strength of concrete is the addition of the addictive substance polycarboxylate. This study used a cube-shaped specimen with a size of 15 cm x 15 cm x 15 cm 54 specimens, with the addition of 4% and 5% polycarboxylate addictive substances in this study using age variations of 3, 7, 28 days. The results of material testing in the second sieve analysis of sand originating from the Ogan River, Kedaton Village and Deasa Lubuk Kemiling, meet the requirements for grading zone 1 which is very coarse. The compressive strength of the fine aggregate concrete in the villages of Kedaton and Lubuk Kemiling on the 3rd, 7th and 28th days were17,1 Mpa, 22,5 Mpa, 30,2 Mpa, respectively. , 12,5 Mpa, 18,5 Mpa, 25,7 Mpa. Characteristics of the compressive strength of concrete with fine aggregates in the village of Kedaton + 4% polycarboxylate at the age of 3.7 and 28 days were19,2 Mpa, 23,3 Mpa, 29,8 Mpa. For fine aggregate in Lubuk Kemiling Village + 4% compressive strength of concrete at the age of 3,7,28 days is18,9 Mpa, 19,8 Mpa, 28,3 Mpa. Characteristics of the compressive strength of concrete with polycarboxylate fine aggregate in Kedaton Village 5% at 3 days was 19,2 Mpa, age 7 days was 27,2 Mpa, and age 28 days was 34,4 Mpa. For fine aggregate in L. Kemiling village, the 3-day concrete compressive strength characteristic is 21,6 Mpa ,7 days age is 28,6 Mpa, 28 days age is 34,4 Mpa.
