Abstract

Abstract This research was conducted in the laboratory of PT. Perkasa Adiguna Sembada (Palembang Branch). This study focuses on the manufacture of normal concrete using waste material from broken concrete tiles as a substitute for fine aggregate. In the construction groove, concrete that has good compressive strength, good elasticity and high strength is needed so that it is difficult to work with. For this reason, the use of tile shard waste can be developed in the construction flow. For this reason, it is necessary to have research on the utilization of the waste of concrete tile fragments in concrete as a substitute for fine aggregate so that a more economical concrete is obtained. The concrete mixture in this study consisted of cement, water, coarse aggregate, fine aggregate, and broken concrete roof tiles. The fractional material of concrete roof tiles is made into 3 variations as a substitute for fine aggregate. 5%, 10%, and 15% respectively. In the test object is a cylinder with a diameter of 15 x 30 cm. The number of specimens for each variation of substitute for fine aggregate is 6 specimens and a total of 24 specimens including normal concrete for a comparison of the compressive strength of concrete. The results of this study concluded that for normal concrete, the average compressive strength at 28 days is 25.17 MPa, concrete with concrete tile as a substitute for fine aggregate 5% with an average compressive strength at 28 days of age of 24,07 Mpa, concrete with waste material from broken concrete tiles as a substitute for fine aggregate 10% with an average compressive strength at 28 days of 23,30 MPa, and concrete with waste material from broken concrete tiles instead of 15% fine aggregate with average compressive strength -Average at the age of 28 days is 19,88 Mpa.
