Abstract

The development of science and technology today has a big influence in completing work. Using automatic floodgates can make it easier for the community. Currently, most of the sluice gate systems are made by manual systems, therefore in this study a simulation design of an automatic sluice gate based on Arduino Uno was conducted. In this study, there are several stages, namely the design stage, programming and finally testing. In testing this research is divided into six tests, namely, Arduino Uno testing, servo motor testing, water sensor testing, LED testing, ultrasonic sensor testing and testing of tools as a whole. In this research, we need a laptop, Arduino Uno which functions for programming data storage, ultrasonic sensors which function to determine the distance or water level, a water sensor which functions to detect rising water and a servo motor which functions to control the floodgates. In testing the automatic sluice simulation tool using this ultrasonic sensor to measure the water level distance to the sensor, if the sensor distance to the water <4 then the door is closed 0ᵒ, if the sensor distance to the water is between 4 to 14 then the door will open 90ᵒ, then the last condition if the distance between the water to the sensor> 14 the door will open 180.
