Abstract

VISSIM comes from the word Verkehr Stadten - Simulations model, which means a city traffic simulation model. VISSIM is a simulation software that is used by professionals to simulate dynamic traffic scenarios before planning in real life. This research was conducted to determine how traffic performance and traffic performance optimization at the intersection between the existing conditions and the Vissim program which is caused by congestion. With the vissim program, what method is effective so that the intersection is not jammed again. The location of this research was conducted at the intersection of three Jl. Sukabangun 2 (South) - Jl. R.A Abusamah (West) - Jl. Sukabangun 2 (Utara) - Jl. Beringin Sukabangun 2 (East). In this study, three variations are used, namely the traffic light method, the prohibited turning right method, the road dividing method and the turning signs. While the results of the validation of Vissim modeling with the traffic light method are on Jl. Sukabangun 2 (South), amounting to 74,094 m, Jl. R.A Abusamah (West) of 73,151 m, Jl. Sukabangun 2 (North) of 79,460 m, and Jl. Beringin Sukabangun 2 (East) of 79,460 m. The method is prohibited from turning right, namely on Jl. Sukabangun 2 (South) of 0 m, Jl. R.A Abusamah (West) at 0 m, Jl. Sukabangun 2 (North) of 0.287 m, and Jl. Beringin Sukabangun 2 (East) of 0 m. The road dividing method and the U-turn signs are on Jl. Sukabangun 2 (South) of 0.112 m, Jl. R.A Abusamah (West) at 0 m, Jl. Sukabangun 2 (North), 1,147 m, and Jl. Beringin Sukabangun 2 (East) of 0 m. That the method of turning right is prohibited, the method of dividing the road and the turning signs are effective enough to reduce congestion.
