Abstract

ABSTRACT In the current development of concrete technology (concrete technology) which is increasingly unceasing, along with the times, therefore the quality of choosing concrete as the main raw material for building construction is very important. This study the authors took the Superplasticizer Naphthalene as an added material to the concrete mixture to determine the effect of the addition of Superplasticizer Naphthalene on the compressive strength of concrete. This research is divided into three stages, namely testing the material, making the test object and testing the test object. This study used a cube-shaped specimen with a size of 15x15x15 cm3 with 6 variations, namely normal concrete, normal concrete + 3% Naphthalene Superplasticizer, normal concrete, normal concrete + 3.5% Naphthalene Superplasticizer, normal concrete, normal concrete + Superplasticizer Naphthalene 4%. , normal concrete, normal concrete + 4.5% Naphthalene Superplasticizer, normal concrete, normal concrete + 5% Naphthalene Superplasticizer, where each variation is tested for its compressive strength at the age of 3 days, 7 days, and 28 days. From laboratory testing, the compressive strength characteristics at 28 days of age are normal concrete 347.8 Kg / Cm2, normal concrete + 3% Naphthalene Superplasticizer 369.8 Kg / Cm2, normalconcrete + Superplasticizer Naphthalene 3.5% 392.1 Kg / Cm2 , normal concrete + Naphthalene Superplasticizer 4% 417 Kg / Cm2, normal concrete + Naphthalene Superplasticizer 4.5% 369.8 Kg / Cm2, normal concrete + Naphthalene Superplasticizer 5% 372 Kg / Cm2.
